Bubble Curtain Speeds up Tyneside Piling Works by Dampening Noise
Marine work construction can have quite a big impact on marine wildlife if not done properly. John F. Hunt Regeneration was facing with a big challenge when it came to pilling work in the river Tyne as it is the migration path of endangered species Atlantic Salmon. To avoid impacting the salmon, the only way so far was to limit the time of specific pilling work which resulted in long delay in construction work. With Bubble Tubing® in their tool arsenal, John F. Hunt is now able to perform marine work. The bubble curtain created around the pilling area protects the Atlantic Salmon by reducing the sound from 163 db to 140 db which is quite a dramatic sound reduction.
